WILHELM'S GOAL BEATS NYACK 9-29-04
CALDWELL, N.J. - Junior midfielder Danny Wilhelm (Beach Haven, NJ/Southern Regional) scored his first goal of the season in the 86th minute to give Caldwell College a 1-0 victory over Nyack College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference men's soccer match Wednesday afternoon at Caldwell Field. The win marked the first conference victory for the Cougars, who are 1-1-1 in the CACC and 4-2-1 overall. Nyack drops its first CACC match of the season, and are now 2-5 overall.
Wilhelm's tally came after a free kick by sophomore Jorge Ibarcena (Lima, Peru) was blocked in front of the goal. Wilhelm pounced on the rebound and buried his shot from six yards out for the game's only goal.
