Welcome to the Southern Regional Community Education Program! Our purpose is to enrich the lives of the citizens of this area by providing high-quality, affordable, lifelong educational opportunities and activities for the adults in our community.

Our Community Education consists of 4 components:

  • GED (General Education Development) Instruction
  • English as a Second Language
  • Enrichment courses
  • Excursions (trips, travel, and theater)

The Enrichment courses described in our latest on-line brochure are developed from ideas and needs that you generate. The varied offerings are taught by community members, local and regional professionals, accomplished entrepreneurs, artists, and craft persons who wish to share their expertise and enthusiasm. They are able to provide you with the skills and information necessary to support your personal ambitions.

In partnership with St. Francis Educational Support Services, Southern Regional High School District is pleased to offer GED and ESL classes. For those in need of these important goals, we urge you to visit the GED/ESL information page in our brochure. There, you will find contact information and details about these important learning opportunities.

We would like to extend an invitation for you to take one of the many inspiring and instructive courses we offer through our Community Education Program and join the nearly 4,000 registrants who take advantage of our programs yearly. This level of success would not be possible without the support of our Board of Education and district administration, the effort of our faculty and staff, and, most of all, our community members!!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Susan M. Craig
Enrichment Coordinator
