The Classroom Experience
Children will experience a variety of developmentally appropriate activities during the day. Among these are activities that promote fine and gross motor
skills, art, music, dramatic play, and block play.
Academic areas include math, science, language arts, and social
Because preschoolers feel more secure when they
know what they will do during the day, we follow a daily schedule.
Activities are planned to compliment the unit that the children are
learning about and to achieve a balance between active and quiet
The classes are open to all residents of the Southern Regional
district as well as the sending districts. Children must be
three years old by October 1 of the current school year and not yet
enrolled in kindergarten. Children must also be toilet
trained. There will be a non-refundable $100 registration fee which will be used for classroom supplies and scholarships for our students pursuing a career related to Family and Consumer Sciences. This fee will be collected at
orientation in August.
Interested parents may enroll their children by

form. To avoid having your child on a
waiting list, please register early.

When: Tuesday and Thursday - October - May
Where: Southern Regional High School in room 101, 11/12 Building
Classes are taught by the Child Development I, II, III and Independent Study classes under the supervision of Mrs. Catherine Latshaw.
