7th Grade social studies provides opportunities for students to
examine culture and change through the centuries. Through the
study of history, students understand the relationships between
the past and present and between man and the the environment.
The 8th Grade curriculum provides students with a rich
understanding of the struggles of early American history to the
time of the Reconstruction. The 8th Grade curriculum is designed
to foster critical thinking as students reflect on their role as
future citizens. Organized around themes of conflict and change,
compromise, and self-government, students acquire skills need to
make connections between past history and current events.
