Welcome! Southern Regional Middle School offers its students an exceptional academic program. We are committed to providing a safe learning environment with a program designed to meet the unique needs of young adolescents. Our team approach joins about 135 students to one of seven teams, creating a sense of family and belonging within a large-school setting. Ram PRIDE (Personal Responsibility in Daily Effort) is developed through a growth mindset approach, which encourage each student to reach his or her potential. Socially and emotionally, our culture cultivates the development of grit, willingness to take learning risks, and perseverance in the face of initial setbacks and struggles.
The development of the whole child is the primary goal of Southern Regional Middle School. To that end, students may select from a plethora of clubs, activates, sports, art, and music opportunities. Bussing is provided at 3:00 and 5:15 to afford all students the opportunity to participate. Participation in extracurricular activities is celebrated at the annual Activity Day Picnic. Approximately 725 students qualify for the picnic each year.
The Comets Team will host our 4th Annual Night Under the Stars on March 18th. This event is open to all middle school students and their families. Come join us for a tour of the wintertime sky, where we’ll find stars, planets, and constellations. Arrival begins at 7:30 pm (park by the gym), and the show should start around 8pm. Make sure to bring a towel, blanket, or chair to sit on, and we hope to see you there! (The RSVP form is posted in each team's Google Classroom. Please have your child RSVP by March 16.)
